The Kunz & Associates Team:


DRKSince 1989, David Kunz has represented employers, insurance carriers and administrators in litigation. He is licensed to practice in the State Courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as in the Federal Courts of New Jersey, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Federal Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

David has presented many seminars to employers, insurance carriers and administrators regarding workers’ compensation and employment discrimination. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Tulane University School of Law, where he served on the Editorial Board of The Tulane Maritime Law Journal. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Foreign Languages from Skidmore College, where he was awarded Honor Society memberships in both undergraduate majors. His publications include two articles in the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, and an article in The Commercial Realty Review. David focuses his practice on defending employers and their carriers against Pennsylvania workers' compensation and employment law claims.

EJGEdward J. Germick graduated from Marywood University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences/Secondary Education. He earned his Juris Doctor degree at the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University in 2000, where he was a member of the Jessup International Law Competition team and participated in the study abroad Capitals of Europe Comparative International Law Program. From 1988 through 2000, Ed served in the 1/109th Field Artillery of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as a nuclear, biological and chemical warfare specialist, in combat and logistical communications, and as a member of the special weapons team.

Ed is licensed in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey and is a member of the PA and Philadelphia Bar Associations as well as the Pennsylvania Self-Insurers' Association. In addition to his duties defending employers and their carriers against Pennsylvania and New Jersey workers' compensation and employment law claims, Ed also presents seminars to employers, insurance carriers and administrators regarding workers' compensation and employment discrimination.

Deborah Evangelou graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Debbie attended law school at the Villanova University School of Law, and earned her Juris Doctor Degree in 1989. She served as an intern at the District Attorney’s office in 1988. She is licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Debbie focuses her practice on Pennsylvania workers’ compensation defense.


JPMJohn P. Meyers has concentrated his legal career with employment-related litigation matters. He not only has over 15 years of practice in defense of workers’ compensation claims, but has also represented employers in both state and federal courts in matters involving unemployment compensation, discrimination claims, sexual harassment and wrongful discharge actions. He has dealt with the alphabet soups of the EEOC, the ADA and the FMLA, as well as the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. John has also gained experience in the areas of premises liability, complex products liability and issues involving institutes of higher education.

A 1991 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law in Charlottesville, VA, John also graduated cum laude from Albion College, Albion, MI in 1981 with a Bachelor in Philosophy. He spent his Junior Year Abroad in 1979-1980 at the University of Sussex in Brighton, England, studying Philosophy, Comparative Governments and Literature. From 2000 to 2003, John was an Adjunct Professor of Legal Research and Writing at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law.

John is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In 1997, John was Co-Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section and, from 1997 - 2000, he wrote a monthly column on developments in workers’ compensation law for the Philadelphia Legal Intelligencer.

Michael F. Campanella obtained his J.D. degree in 1985 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He earned a B.A. degree cum laude in English and American Literature from Harvard University, in 1982. He also served as a juridical clerk for the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. Michael has extensive experience in various aspects of workers compensation practice, personal injury litigation, insurance defense litigation, commercial litigation, and appellate practice.

Michael is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pa., and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Michael is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association.

GGD Gianna Griffin received her AAS in Paralegal Studies from the Community College of Philadelphia in 1995. Her seven years experience as a paralegal, combined with her previous experience as a legal assistant, make her an invaluable member of the team.

VDG Vanessa Goodson Vanessa Goodson is the face to the voice who answers the phone. She has been a legal secretary for over 30 years with experience in general litigation and workers’ compensation. She uses her vast experience to assist our clients. In her spare time, Vanessa and her husband spend their time juggling two ministries; Model Marriage Ministries helps married couples maintain good marriages and counsels those who are having difficulties. Destiny Worship Center is the church they pastor.
